Grand Prize winner
Shannon H. from Rowlett, Texas

We are green! Recently we have switched to natural pet foods and pet beauty products. We use only environmentally friendly cleaning products and NO MORE PLASTIC BAGS when shopping! On our walks we not only pick up what the puppies leave behind, we also pick up any liter that humans have left behind. It feels great to know we are making a little difference!

Pamela E. from Fort Collins, Colorado

We use only green cleaning supplies around our house - and there's a LOT to clean with 3 playful cats and one playful puppy!

Kerry M. from Virginia Beach, Virginia

We use the pick up bags that are biodegradable. The dogs only get all natural products that are not toxic to the environment - this includes using apple cider vinegar to help soothe itchy skin they have due to allergies. To clean up any "mistakes" we use either white vinegar or baking soda. For other cleaning we use Seventh Generation products that are not only safe for us humans, but also our pets.

Kathleen L. from West Hollywood, California

Because of my two cats Abbey and Punky, I have started using Seventh Generation cleaning products and organic laundry detergents to keep them safe. They both eat Pet Promise food - which they love. I have noticed that Punky has begun to lose weight and Abbey, my older cat is full of energy! I am thankful to them for bringing that to my attention!

Rose S. from Charlotte, North Carolina

When we take our walks, we bring a bag for poop scooping and a bag for trash pick-up. We humans gripe about our neighbor's dog's waste on our lawns and yet ignore the wrappers, bottles, and cans that line the street in our neighborhoods. I've made a commitment to keeping my neighborhood clean of all waste, and I've noticed my neighbors watching. I hope this habit spreads so that our dogs can enjoy walking on a street free of broken bottles and other garbage just like we prefer not to step in their waste!

What to do with the masses of pet hair combed out and vacuumed up? Tuck around plants to discourage bunny nibbling. The rest goes in the compost as a great source of nitrogen.
