Pet Promise has developed unique, long-term relationships with some of the key pioneers in the fields of Integrative Medicine and the natural meat and poultry business.

Meet some of our partners:

Andrew Weil, M.D.

“Although I’ve been involved in promoting the benefits of natural foods for most of my career, there’s a personal reason that I became involved with Pet Promise brand pet foods. Most commercially available pet foods - even those claiming to be “natural” or “scientific” - contain rendered meats, animal byproducts and slaughterhouse scraps.

My endorsement of Pet Promise is a promise of truly natural nutrition and responsibility to both of my two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Jambo and Daisy. I believe in caring for my companion animals the way I care for other members of my family. Pet Promise is the first commercial pet food I have found that truly supports my commitment to their nutritional well-being.”

Coleman Natural Meat

Mel Coleman, Sr. was a lone voice for natural meat production when he made a commitment in 1979 to build a company that would market meat from animals that were never given growth hormones or antibiotics. Today, Coleman has developed a network of roughly 700 independent ranchers who adhere to those same principles of humane animal husbandry and natural meat production.

Petaluma Poultry

Just as Mel Coleman broke new ground in natural meat production, Allan Shansky broke from the commercial industrial poultry production system years ago to establish a company that would raise chickens a different way. Petaluma has since grown into a national leader in sustainable poultry production, and was one of two U.S. companies honored by the International Standards Organization as a “sustainable company”.

Bell & Evans

Bell & Evans ® is a pioneer in the natural foods market, having provided high quality poultry for four generations, going back to the 1890s. Bell & Evans raises its chickens in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country on an all-natural vegetable diet of hexane-free soybean meal and corn, supplemented with vitamins and minerals. Their chickens are never given antibiotics, rendered meat scraps, bone, feathers, fish meal, animal fats, oil or grease.

Bell & Evans raises its chicks in an environment of minimal stress where they have fresh air, comfortable housing, plenty of clean water and are free to roam.
